Having been a teacher most of my life, I've never shed the nurturing impulse.  Thus, the most exciting outcome of my presentations is to see kids motivated to express themselves in words and drawings. These pages will highlight these wonderful, innocent and highly imaginative works.
For example,  kid's are motivated to draw their own nose cartoons after being exposed to Nose Drops. Though I drew the above cartoon, it's not my drawing. Click on Star Trek's Mr. Spock to get the explanation.
CHILDREN'S WORK
Some kids combine a vivid imagination with precocious artistic ability.  The following drawings are both charming in concept and artistically well-rendered .
William Perry was a defensive tackle with the Chicago Bears in the '80's.  His nickname was "Refrigerator."  This 6th grade boy rendered Squib as Resquiberator.  Michael Searle, if you see this, e-mail me and let me know what you are doing.  I wouldn't be surprised if you were in graphic arts!
This drawing was created by a 6th grader.  I love its simplicity even though it is rendered with considerable detail.  The heart on the arm on the right has "MOM" printed in it.  Jason Hardman, if you see this, e-mail me and let me know what you are doing.
I was brainstorming animals as rock groups in front of some 7th graders.  I suggested that someone try to draw a group called "Motley Moo."  I love the T-shirt on the left.  It says "I have three stomachs and I'm proud!"
I misplaced the name of the student artist who was from Fulton, IL.  If you're out there, e-mail me. I'd love to know where you went with this talent.

This will take a few seconds at 56K but is worth it.
